HR Training for farmers

The programme consists of interactive workshops delivered over 30 hours, typically through five day workshops but we are flexible to meet the needs of your local area. Featuring real life examples, each workshop is run by an experienced tutor with a rural background who knows the challenges of farming. By learning with other farmers, you’ll benefit from sharing experiences and you’ll gain skills and ideas that you can apply immediately to your business.

Topic 3: Recruitment and selection

This topic includes:

  • Determining the different job roles required on your farm
  • Developing job descriptions and agreements
  • Finding and employing the right person for the job
  • Integrating staff effectively into your business.

Topic 4: Developing high performing teams

This topic includes:

  • Developing a high performing team
  • Managing a team effectively
  • Building strong team spirit
  • Getting the communication right.
